They still feel flimsy, but they survived over a year of regular use. When I'd take them off after a long session I definitely felt it.The big issue is the quality of the wire and the connection to the computer.
This is, in my limited experience" the best I've used. Looking online I've come to realize just how difficult it is to find a good headset that "just works".
the mic is pretty solid once I got it properly set up, and the headphones are as good as standalone headphones in this price range. As far as comfort, these were a little tight on my ears, but I could bear through it. I'm sure there are better out there, but price to performance, this is pretty darn good.
The connection is pretty basic, there are two jacks, one for the headphone and the other for the mic. I have to say that, at this price, these did the job.
Its a shame I took them out after a big move and a few months of sitting idle to have the mic die on me.
The mic quality is high as well. This is a great headset for gaming or listening to music. It is a behind-the-head style, extremely comfortable, and offers great sound quality. I wish they weren't discontinued, because this is by far my favorite model. I had to pay a higher price than the last time I ordered one, presumably since inventory is low.
In conclusion, Great quality for the price. The foam piece for the microphone ripped after 1 year of use.
It's been thrown around, dropped, wire pulled on, and it still holds up nicely. I've had this headset for little over 1 1/2 years.
The length of the cable is long. If you're a gamer stay away from "behind the ear" headsets.
This headset will hurt your ears after 30 minutes of use. Foam cover for the earpiece is good as new after 1 1/2 years.
Good for moderate users, not gamers.
Love this headset. If only they made one this good for my XBox. This has a great design and build quality to it, I had my friend listen to me speak and he said that I sounded very clear, the audio coming through is top notch. The only complaint was that after wearing it for over an hour it does tend to hurt behind the ears a little, but I could see this getting better through increased wear MAYBE.
Don't buy them, find something else. I'd keep my Skype calls short just to avoid wearing the headset.Do you get my point yet.
Movies, music, gaming, web chat with the family, I did it all. Before I returned home I happily gave this headset away, not because I'm a nice guy but beacuse I didn't want to wear them ever again. The headset was returned to me the next day.The sound and microphone quality is good, that's not the problem.
I used this headset daily over a several month period away from home. I tried bending the headset wider (though I don't think my head is abnormally large); I'd reposition the headset to give relief to the pressure points on the side of my head.
They're uncomfortable. I couldn't get through a standard length movie without getting sore spots on the tops of my ears and the side of my head above my ears.
These are uncomfortable. I'm now using a Logitech Gaming Headset G330 (Black) and love it - long gaming sessions, calls, and movies are no longer a problem, though it's in a higher price range than this set.Keep searching - this isn't the headset you're looking for.
